“One who has abundant prana radiates vitality and strength.
– Swami Vishnu Devananda
Hatha Yoga is one of the oldest styles of yoga where emphasis on the breath is central to the practice. Poses are traditionally held a little longer to maximise the benefits. Bring your body and mind back into perfect balance by combining this class with prana and yoga Nidra.
For Prana and Yoga Nidra, through specific poses and breathing techniques, or Pranayama, one’s life force Energy or Prana is increased. After warming up, students are invited to lay down for a long Savasana in order to enjoy Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a meditative and conscious relaxation practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.
In order to receive the full benefits of a Yoga Nidra session, one is invited to remain awake and present. This is why practicing in the morning can be beneficial, as there’s less chance of falling asleep.
Find deep relaxation and prana energy flow at the core of your being.
Leen De Witte is a Hatha Yoga teacher who places a lot of emphasis on the breath and relaxation, so you’re in for a treat! She teaches the Sunday Self Care Classes during the school year at the Tree of Life. Leen speaks English, Dutch and French.
